The Playground's park and intersection

The Playground was a public space located in New York City in PlayStation Home which was released on June 17th, 2010 on both NA and EU servers. It had an urban looking appearance, as well as many inner city furnishings. It included a dance floor, several games , and a store with items pertaining to the space itself. Gangs like WwW and Frosty Army hung out at this space. It was destroyed in a nuclear strike after PlayStation Home closed.

Games[edit | edit source]

The Playground had a few activities which bring users to meet and hang out with friends, which have remained the same since its release.

Music[edit | edit source]

Like many other spaces in Home, The Playground had its own music playlist, in this case consisting of 40 R&B/Hip-Hop tracks which were randomly cycled through at the satge and a short radius around it. The Playground's music popularity spawned the Playground Boombox, an active item which would play the same tracks found in the Playground space.
